Quick commerce startup Zepto, experiencing significant growth in both size and revenue, is set to relocate its headquarters from Powai in Mumbai to Sarjapur in Bengaluru, India's tech hub.
The company currently has an office in Bengaluru but plans to relocate all corporate roles to a larger space and consolidate operations from various cities.
Zepto will cover relocation expenses for all employees who choose to move to Bengaluru. The total cost of the relocation is projected to be around Rs 3-4 crore as a one-time expense. However, this cost is expected to be offset by the anticipated savings of Rs 40-50 lakh per month in rent due to the company's move from Mumbai to Bengaluru.
The three-year-old company, which currently operates its business verticals in Mumbai and its tech and product teams in Bengaluru, will consolidate all its 1,700-1,800 employees into a single location. A Zepto employee said, "Although the company has been flexible up to now, we’ve all been directed to move to Bengaluru by the end of November or early December."
